Masonry and the LDS Temple Endowment: Origins

Because Joseph Smith became a Mason not long before he began to introduce others to the Nauvoo endowment, some suppose that Masonry must have been the starting point for his inspiration on temple matters. The real story, however, is not so simple” writes LDS scholar, Jeffrey Bradshaw in the latest edition of Mormon Interpreter. Reading through this educational website, I have learned quite a bit about Mormonism and some of it’s teachings. I am very happy for Mormon Interpreter: A Journal of Mormon Thought, and I would recommend such a website to anyone who is searching to learn more about Mormonism. It’s been an educational experience for me.
